Guest Terms
Version 1, effective 5 October 2026
Draft: not live, not legal advice. To be reviewed by a UK solicitor before publication.
The key points
- We run the App; the Provider runs the activity. When you pick an offer, your booking for the activity is with that Provider.
- You must be 18 or over to make a request.
- There is no 14-day "change of mind" period. Activities are booked for a specific date and time, so the 14-day cancellation right does not apply (see section 7).
- Cancel early if your plans change. A late cancellation, or not turning up, counts as a Strike. Five Strikes mean you will need to confirm your location before your next request (see section 8).
- We never give your phone number or email address to a Provider.
1. Who we are
The App at localinfo.club is run by DBM AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number
12834746), registered office 60 26th Avenue, Hull, England, HU6 9SJ ("we", "us", "our").
Contact us at contact@dbm-ai.com. For anything about your personal data, write to contact@dbm-ai.com.
2. These terms
2.1 These terms apply when you use the App as a Guest. You accept them by ticking the box "I accept the Guest Terms" on the phone screen, the screen where you give us your phone number, before you ask for offers; without the tick no request is sent. We record which version you accepted and when. If you already accepted the current version with this number on this device, the box is ticked for you.
2.2 How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. It is not part of these terms, and you do not need to agree to it; it tells you what we do and what your rights are.
2.3 The English version prevails. Versions in other languages are made by AI, for your convenience only. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text applies.
3. Words we use
- Guest: you, when you use the App to find and book activities.
- Provider: a local business or person who offers activities through the App.
- Guesthouse: the place you are staying, if you scanned its QR code.
- Zone: an area the App runs in.
- Zone Manager: the person or business that runs a Zone under an agreement with us.
- Request: your request for offers (what you want to do, when, and how many people).
- Offer: a Provider's answer to your Request.
- Booking: the Offer you picked.
- Strike: a confirmed no-show or a late cancellation (see section 8).
4. What the App does
4.1 You tell us what you would like to do, when, and for how many people. We send your Request to local Providers who are available. Providers have a short time to reply with an Offer. You pick one, and that becomes your Booking.
4.2 The App is a platform. We do not run activities. The contract for the activity is between you and the Provider. The Provider is responsible for the activity itself: its quality, its safety and delivering it as described.
4.3 We are responsible for running the App with reasonable care and skill, and for the information we show you about how the App works.
5. Who can use the App
5.1 You must be 18 or over to make a Request. You may book for a party that includes children; we only record how many children there are, never who they are.
5.2 You must give a phone number that is yours and correct. We use it to recognise you, to let you find your booking again, and so the Zone Manager can reach you if something goes wrong. Using someone else's number, or a number that is not real, breaks these terms.
6. Your Booking
6.1 Your check-in code. Each Booking has a short code and a QR code. Show it to the Provider when you arrive; that confirms you came. Keep it to yourself until then.
6.2 Eligibility. Some activities have conditions such as a minimum age, or a maximum weight or height. Before you book, the App asks you to confirm that everyone in your party meets them. You are responsible for that being true. A Provider may refuse anyone who does not meet the conditions, for their safety, and that is not the Provider's fault.
6.3 Safety. Activities are run by Providers. Follow the Provider's instructions and safety rules.
6.4 Finding your booking. If you lose the page, you can find your Booking again with your phone number and the date. If you gave an email address, we also send you a link.
7. No 14-day cancellation right
Important: UK law usually gives consumers 14 days to cancel a contract made online. That right does not apply to Bookings made through the App, because they are for leisure activities on a specific date or in a specific period (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, regulation 28(1)(b)).
You can still cancel as described in section 8, and your other legal rights are not affected.
8. Cancelling, no-shows and Strikes
8.1 Cancelling. You can cancel a Booking in the App. - Early cancellation (before the free-cancellation deadline, which the App shows on each Offer and again before you confirm): no Strike. - Late cancellation (after that deadline): a Strike, once the Zone Manager has confirmed it.
8.2 No-shows. If you do not turn up and do not cancel, the Provider can report a no-show. It becomes a Strike only after a person (the Zone Manager) has looked at it and confirmed it.
8.3 If the Provider cancels, you never get a Strike. If something outside your control stops you, such as illness or bad weather, the Zone Manager can decide that it does not count; they look at each case.
8.4 What Strikes do. Providers see a summary of your record when they receive your Request: how many bookings you completed, cancelled or missed, and any short note from the Zone Manager. They never see your name, phone number or email address.
8.5 The five-Strike check. If you have five Strikes in the last 24 months, you can still make Requests, but first the App must confirm, using your phone's location, that you are in the Zone. That confirmation lasts 12 hours. It is not a ban, and it lifts itself as older Strikes expire after 24 months.
8.6 If you think a Strike is wrong, email contact@dbm-ai.com with your phone number and the date of the Booking. A person will look at it again and reply within one month.
9. Ratings
9.1 After a completed Booking you can rate the Provider with stars and an optional comment.
9.2 The stars count towards the Provider's public rating. Your comment is seen by the Provider only, and they do not see who wrote it.
9.3 Ratings must be honest and about your own experience. No abuse, threats, discrimination, personal information about anyone, or advertising. We may remove a rating that breaks these rules.
10. Using the App fairly
Please: - only make Requests you mean to book; - not copy or collect information from the App by automated means; - not interfere with the App or try to get into parts of it you are not meant to use.
The App works because Providers can trust that Bookings are real and that the platform is how they get them. We ask you to keep your Booking arrangements in the App rather than moving them elsewhere.
11. Payment
Today you pay the Provider directly, on the spot, as agreed in the Offer. We do not take payment from you.
[PAYMENTS: to be completed with the payment specs: online deposits / full payment, who you pay, refunds per
outcome, chargebacks. Drip-pricing rule: any mandatory amount must be in the price shown first. See
docs/payments.md.]
12. Our responsibility to you
12.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
12.2 We are not responsible for the activity itself; that is the Provider's responsibility (section 4.2). We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you accepted these terms, or for business losses (the App is for personal use).
12.3 We work to keep the App available, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
[SOLICITOR: confirm the platform-liability wording and whether any monetary cap is appropriate for a free consumer
service.]
13. Suspending your use
We may suspend or stop your use of the App if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example fake Requests or abuse in ratings. Where we can, we will tell you why.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a number and a date. The version shown when you make a Request is the one that applies to it. If we make an important change, we will show you the new version before your next Request.
15. Complaints
15.1 About an activity: tell the Provider first. If that does not resolve it, email contact@dbm-ai.com and the Zone Manager will look into it.
15.2 About the App or us: email contact@dbm-ai.com. We aim to reply within 14 days.
15.3 About your personal data: email contact@dbm-ai.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
16. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
17. General
17.1 If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
17.2 These terms are between you and us. Nobody else can enforce them, except that a Provider may rely on sections 6.2 and 10.
